My name is tom and i am working on an alienware x51 r2 for a friend. I have the following pc. I currently run an upgraded alienware x51 r2 64 bit. But the power supply must be able to handle these demands if not it will put a strain on the components which can result in spontaneous failure.

When the power button is depressed it powers on momentarily spinning the cpu and power board fans but then immediately shuts off.
